There's definitely something worth listening to here, even if you're not down with the 'Seattle Sound'. One thing that really interests me is a (I assume) tribute to Dave Sedaris' book 'Me Talk Pretty One Day' on track 2 'The Music of Language'. If you don't know Dave Sedaris, he's a clever comedian who, according to me, is right up there with David Cross and Dave Chappell... but I digress. Alta May, backed by Jack Endino of SubPop, recently opened for both Verbena and Mudhoney. These guys prove that unchecked testosterone-driven aggression isn't all bad-- no matter what Oprah and Star Jones tell you.
